Disneyland® Resort Fantasyland® Series

As Walt Disney once said of Fantasyland, "Here is the world of imagination, hopes, and dreams. In this timeless land of enchantment, the age of chivalry, magic and make-believe are reborn - and fairy tales come true. Fantasyland is dedicated to the young-in-heart, to those who that, when you wish upon a star, your dreams come true." This poster series captures the magic and wonder that have made Fantasyland one of the most beloved lands in Disneyland®.

it's a small world
Once called "The Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed," the classic Disneyland® ride "it's a small world" was actually created for the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair. Personally overseen by Walt Disney in support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the attraction was a huge hit for two seasons at the fair and was eventually shipped back to Disneyland park, where it opened on May 28, 1966. Riders voyage along the Seven Seaways canal and behold a cast of almost 300 Audio-Animatronics dolls representing children from every corner of the globe as they sing the classic anthem to world peace—in their native languages. This vintage poster was created by Imagineer Paul Hartley in 1966.

Alice in Wonderland
You won’t find this charming attraction anywhere else! The Alice in Wonderland ride made its Fantasyland debut on June 14, 1958, nearly 3 years after Disneyland® Park opened to the public.

In 1984, the painted cut-outs of the original attraction were replaced with three-dimensional characters. New lighting and special effects were also added in 2014. After 50 years, Alice in Wonderland continues to be a favorite stop in Fantasyland for both children and adults.

This vintage poster was created by Sam McKim in 1958.

Mad Tea Party, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, King Arthur Carousel
Imagineer Bjorn Aronson worked three of Disneyland's opening-day attractions into this Fantasyland poster from 1955.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant flies guests around a dancing water fountain. As the jubilant circus organ melody begins, Dumbo gracefully lifts off while Timothy Q. Mouse directs the action with help from his “magic” feather.

The King Arthur Carrousel and most of its horses date back more than 90 years. Walt Disney purchased and renovated the attraction for Disneyland®, ensuring every child could ride a galloping white horse.

Mad Tea Party celebrates your unbirthday with a wild whirl through Wonderland. Madcap music fills the air as you rotate below a canopy of colorful lanterns.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
One of the opening day attractions at Disneyland Park, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was based on the Wind in the Willows scenes from the animated Disney film, "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad."

Unique to Disneyland® Park, the ride takes guests on a hair-raising buggy ride past teetering stacks of books, through a fireplace, out a window, and right into the path of an oncoming train!

The retro-style poster was created by Imagineer Danny Handke in 2008.

Peter Pan's Flight
This opening day attraction is based on Walt Disney’s 1953 animated classic, "Peter Pan," which in turn was based on J.M. Barrie’s play and book of the same name about a 12-year-old boy who refuses to grow up.

On the ride, guests fly with Wendy, Michael and John - with the help of a little pixie dust - through scenes and songs from the captivating film.

This vintage poster was adapted in 1983 by Leticia Lelevier.
