VeVe Launches First-Ever Lucasfilm Movie Prop Digital Collectibles with Boba Fett Release

Book of Boba Fett Collectibles on VeVe
VeVe launches its first-ever movie prop digital collectibles in partnership with Lucasfilm, debuting alongside a new Boba Fett release inspired by Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett. The drop introduces movie props as a new collecting vertical, featuring ultra-detailed, AR-ready recreations crafted through VeVe’s signature crafting system.

VeVe, the leading digital collectibles platform, has announced the launch of its first-ever movie prop digital collectibles, debuting alongside a new Boba Fett release inspired by Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett from Lucasfilm.

The release introduces a brand-new vertical on VeVe, allowing collectors to own ultra-detailed digital recreations of iconic on-screen props for the first time. These movie props are crafted through VeVe’s existing crafting system and are included at no additional cost with the initial blind box purchase of a Boba Fett digital collectible.

At the center of the drop is Boba Fett himself, one of the most recognizable characters in cinematic history. This release focuses specifically on his appearance in The Book of Boba Fett, capturing both the character and the equipment that defines his journey from feared bounty hunter to the daimyo of Mos Espa.

Introducing Movie Props as a New Collecting Vertical

VeVe’s movie prop collectibles represent a meaningful evolution in digital collecting. Instead of spreading technical resources across a full character model, movie props allow the production team to focus entirely on a single object, pushing detail and accuracy to a new level.

According to Devin Hart, Head of Production at VeVe, the shift to props gave the team the freedom to showcase Boba Fett’s gear in a way that simply is not possible with full characters. By dedicating all available memory and polygon budget to individual items like the helmet or blasters, the team was able to achieve an exceptionally high level of detail that closely matches what fans see on screen.

Hart and Corey Truax, Head of Brand at VeVe, explore this creative process in a behind-the-scenes video that is embedded alongside this announcement. In the video, the two walk through the creative direction of the entire release, breaking down how each collectible was approached and highlighting hidden details within the movie props. Hart demonstrates how small surface details, weathering, and construction elements were recreated to match their television-accurate counterparts from Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett.

Crafting Connects Characters and Props

Every Boba Fett digital collectible obtained through the blind box acts as the key to crafting a corresponding movie prop. Crafting is included with the original purchase, reinforcing VeVe’s collector-first approach by adding long-term value and progression to ownership.

The props available through crafting include Boba Fett’s helmet, weapons, gauntlets, jetpack, belt, and other defining equipment. Each prop is presented as a display-ready collectible, designed to be viewed up close, scaled in augmented reality, and showcased inside the VeVeVerse.

David Yu, Co-Founder and CEO of VeVe, noted that Boba Fett has remained one of the most iconic characters in Star Wars since his earliest appearances. While VeVe has released Boba Fett before, this drop focuses specifically on his Book of Boba Fett era. Yu added that showcasing characters across different moments in their history is central to VeVe’s approach, and Boba Fett stands out as a character whose evolution is deeply tied to his gear and armor.

Built for Augmented Reality and the VeVeVerse

The movie prop collectibles were designed with augmented reality at the forefront. Concentrating extreme detail into a single model allows collectors to scale props to near real-world size without noticeable loss in quality.

Dan Crothers, Co-Founder and COO of VeVe, explained that this approach supports VeVe’s broader goal of delivering the cleanest and most impressive AR experiences possible. By packing high fidelity into each prop, collectors can place them in real-world environments or inside the VeVeVerse and explore details that hold up even at close range. Crothers also shared excitement around seeing how collectors use these props for social sharing, content creation, and storytelling.

A Drop Designed for Every Type of Collector

Alongside the movie props, the release features interactive Boba Fett character collectibles, including tap-to-animate weapons such as the EE-3 blaster rifle, blaster pistol, and wrist-mounted flamethrower. Multiple rarity tiers, ultra-low editions, and layered crafting mechanics ensure the drop appeals to a wide range of collectors.

Corey Truax described the release as one built specifically for Star Wars fans and Boba Fett collectors. Interactive elements give collectors new ways to engage with the character, while crafting and edition structures reward participation. Truax emphasized that whether someone collects for value, fandom, rewards, or virtual display, the drop was designed to offer something meaningful for every type of collector.

The Boba Fett digital collectibles and movie prop crafting experience is arriving on VeVe on February 8, marking the debut of movie props as a new digital collecting category and a major milestone for the platform.
