Updated: Monday 3 February, 2025 to include Disney and Star Wars backlist digital comics.
Exciting news, VeVe collectors! We’re making a major update to the way Marvel, Disney and Star Wars backlist digital comics are sold on VeVe’s Collectibles Store. Starting from 1 March 2025, all drops of backlist digital comic titles from Marvel, Disney or Star Wars sold through the VeVe Collectibles Store will only be available for purchase for 30 days after they are released. After this limited sales period ends, any unsold editions will be burned permanently, reducing the overall supply and making the final edition count dependent on demand.
Until now, Marvel, Disney and Star Wars backlist digital comics have remained available until sold out, with no fixed closing date. With this update:
To kick off this major update, VeVe will be conducting a one-time, burn event on 28 February 2025, starting at 11.59 PM PT! From this time, any remaining unsold editions of Marvel, Disney or Star Wars backlist digital comics, released more than 30 days ago in the VeVe Collectibles Store, will be permanently burned.
From 31 January, 2025 collectors have 28 days to purchase any of these back issues still available in the VeVe Collectibles Store, before they’re gone forever. Don’t wait - if there’s a comic you’ve been eyeing, now is the time to grab it!
So mark your calendars, secure your must-have issues, and get ready for this exciting evolution of digital comics on VeVe!
This change is designed to enhance the scarcity and collectibility of Marvel, Disney and Star Wars digital comics released on VeVe. With a defined sales window and the possibility of unsold copies being burned, final edition counts will reflect actual demand, adding a new layer of exclusivity to collecting.

This applies only to Marvel, Disney or Star Wars backlist digital comics released via the VeVe Collectibles Store (VeVe’s blue app). It does not apply to Marvel frontlist comics available on VeVe Comics (VeVe’s green app).
Backlist comics refer to previously released Marvel, Disney or Star Wars digital comics, available to purchase via VeVe’s Collectibles Store, that are not part of the new frontlist releases that are sold through VeVe Comics. These are legacy issues that have been made available for collectors over time on VeVe.
Once a Marvel, Disney or Star Warsbacklist digital comic has been available for 30 days, any unsold editions will be burned. This means they are permanently removed from circulation and will no longer be available for purchase.
No, this update only applies to Marvel, Disney and Star Wars backlist digital comics available for purchase via VeVe’s Collectibles Store. Other digital Collectibles on VeVe, including Marvel, Disney and Star Wars frontlist comics that are available via VeVe Comics, will follow the existing process.
The first major burn event will take place on 28 February 2025, starting at 11.59 PM PT. At that time, any remaining unsold Marvel, Disney and Star Wars backlist comics that have been in the VeVe Collectibles Store for more than 30 days will be burned. Some early February releases will not meet the 30-day threshold by this date and will be burned in March.
To ensure you don’t miss out, visit the VeVe Collectibles Store (in VeVe’s blue app) and purchase any backlist Marvel, Disney or Star Wars comics you want before 28 February, 2025. After this date, they will no longer be available.
Going forward, all Marvel, Disney and Star Wars backlist digital comic releases on the VeVe Collectibles Store will have a 30-day sale period, after which any unsold copies will be burned. This will create greater scarcity and increase collectibility.
