Alicia Masters's first appearance, with the Puppet Master presence expressed through sculpted clay and abstract forms.
From the artist: “I focused on Alicia as the main character, highlighting her sensitivity and humanity in contrast to the darker theme of control that runs through the story. Fantastic Four puppets with heart-shaped balloons adorned the scene, lending it a romantic touch.
The illustration is entirely digital, from the layout to the ink. For the color, I used digital gouache brushes to give the characters a painterly tone, contrasting with the background, which is composed of hand-drawn textures, scanned, and digitally repainted.
You can actually notice that in some parts the background lines alternate. This is an intentional effect, precisely to give a sense of three-dimensionality to the background, in harmony with the clean, simple lines.
