The “future of law enforcement” from OCP - the Enforcement Droid Series 209, or ED-209 is a heavily armed police robot and nemesis of Robocop. Programmed originally to guard the destitute streets of crime-ridden Detroit, ED-209 lethally malfunctioned in its simulation which paved the way for the Robocop program but that wasn’t the last we’d see of the incompetent armored juggernaut.
