Each December, while the world is swapping gifts and stories, Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) and the collecting community celebrate in their own way. Days of Giving is a holiday giveaway that turns the joy of collecting into something everyone can share.
This year, VeVe is jumping in to help spotlight the tradition and invite even more collectors to take part.
Days of Giving began back in December 2020 as CGC’s “7-Days of Giving” Instagram giveaway, launched to celebrate the milestone of 7 million collectibles graded. For seven business days, CGC posted daily giveaways on Instagram, with multiple winners and a focus on spreading a bit of “holiday cheer” across the global collecting community.
The format was simple:
Since that first campaign, Days of Giving has carried on as a feel-good holiday tradition. The prizes, themes and artwork have changed over the years, but the heart of it hasn’t: celebrating collectors and giving back to the community that makes CGC what it is.
CGC itself sits right at the centre of modern collecting. Founded in 2000, the company has grown into one of the world’s most trusted third-party grading services for comics and other pop culture collectibles, with millions of items certified and a reputation for consistent, impartial grading.
VeVe and CGC already share a pretty natural overlap: physical and digital counterparts living side by side in one collector’s story.
VeVe’s comic grading explainer walks fans through why grading matters, how CGC’s scale works and how a slabbed comic can be paired with its officially licensed digital twin on VeVe. From VeVe x CGC signature labels to collector-focused promotions, the partnership has always been about celebrating the craft of grading and the passion that sits behind it.
This holiday season, VeVe is helping to amplify Days of Giving by shining an extra spotlight on the campaign, sharing it with the VeVe community, and contributing twelve VeVe digital collectibles to be included in this year’s Days of Giving prize pool. For many fans, it’s a chance to see both sides of their collection – on the shelf and on-screen – recognised in one shared celebration.
As VeVe CEO and Co-Founder David Yu explains, that shared philosophy is exactly what makes collaborations like this so meaningful:
“Collectors trust CGC because they treat every comic with real care and attention. We see that passion, and we share it. That is why our collaborations with them, from VeVe x CGC signature labels to limited-edition pins and collector-focused promotions, have meant so much to us. We love celebrating the artistry of grading and giving collectors physical and digital moments they can enjoy side by side.”
— David Yu, CEO and Co-Founder of VeVe
For many VeVe fans, Days of Giving is a perfect reminder that collecting is more than numbers on a label or mint counts on a screen. It’s about connection, generosity and shared excitement.
While the exact mechanics can evolve from year to year, Days of Giving follows a familiar, easy pattern rooted in that very first 7-day campaign.

Watch for Days of Giving posts
During the campaign window (usually in December), CGC shares clearly marked Days of Giving posts on their feed, highlighting the day’s prize and the basic rules.

Traditionally, entry has worked like this:
CGC then selects at random one commenter and their tagged friend as winners for that day’s prize.
Be sure to check back for winners & the next giveaway
With each new day comes a new giveaway, fresh winners and another reason to check in, cheer others on and share the fun.
Because the giveaway is open to collectors around the world (as long as there’s a physical address for shipping), Days of Giving has become a truly global moment for the hobby – from long-time CGC submitters to newer fans just discovering graded comics and cards.
At its core, Days of Giving is simple: CGC posts, the community comments and tags friends, and a handful of lucky collectors end up with surprise gifts in the mail. But the impact is bigger than the boxes on someone’s doorstep.
It’s the thrill of seeing your favourite hobby give something back.
It’s the smile when a friend wins alongside you.
It’s the reminder that collecting – whether it’s a grail, a digital comic on VeVe or the first book you ever loved – is always better when it’s shared.
And that feels just right for Christmas.
