Silent Auction

Silent auctions let you collect in an entirely new and private way! In a silent auction, you will place a bid on your favorite digital collectible Artwork (in Gems) for whatever you are personally willing to spend on the piece. The value of your bid is hidden from other auction participants, just as you will not be able to see what they have bid, and when the auction timer expires — the highest bidder wins! Korean artist TOBEY, creator of My Toy, draws from his childhood experiences of isolation and self-discovery to explore themes of freedom, restraint, and personal growth. Birds, wind, and fences appear throughout his work, symbolizing the invisible barriers we all face and the longing to break free.

"Just as loneliness is in everyone, there is a firebird in everyone. This firebird can light up or darken our inner world, depending on how we look at it. I hope that the audience will find their own firebird in the work and find the courage and hope to light it," TOBEY shares.
