USPS — Stamp Art — Presidential Series (1938) Series 3

Presidential Series (1938) - Series 3 stamp art from USPS drops in blind box Waitlist format Thu, 30 Nov at 10 AM PT.

Stamp Art

The Commemorative Stamp Program issues stamps that honor events, persons, or themes. The first stamps were issued by the Post Office Department in 1893. To date, more than three thousand commemorative stamps have been issued that celebrate America’s national history — from animals to plants, people to places, and anniversaries to events. The Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee was established in 1957 and its members use their collective expertise in history, science, technology, art, education, sports, and other areas of public interest, to consider and then recommend stamp subjects to the Postmaster General for final approval.

Presidential Series (1938)

Originally issued in 1938, these remarkable stamp art collectibles are part of the legendary “Presidential Series” that perfectly captures the essence of former U.S. Presidents and other notable individuals in American history. Known affectionately as “Prexies” or the “Fifth Bureau Issue,” each piece of stamp art features the distinguished bust profiles of these influential leaders, along with one of the White House. Immerse yourself in the classic display of these visionary figures and celebrate their dedication to positively shaping the future with this historic stamp art collection.
