AUCKLAND, New Zealand, July 7, 2025 – In celebration of Ultraman Day on July 10, VeVe is teaming up with Tsuburaya and voice actor Christopher Sean to launch a wave of animated Ultraman Collectibles inspired by the new hit Netflix film Ultraman Rising. The exclusive series of digital drops will feature fan-favorite characters like Ultraman, Emi, Mina, and several fearsome Kaiju, all brought to life in stylized animated poses collectors can own on VeVe.
Christopher Sean, who voices Ken Sato in Ultraman Rising, delivered a personal message to collectors, officially announcing the campaign and drop:
“What’s up, VeVe fans? Christopher Sean here, voice of Ken Sato and Ultraman Rising. And I am excited to announce that we have our first official drop on VeVe, just in time for Ultraman Day, July 10th. Get ready to rise, protect, and collect. And keep your eyes peeled, because more hero-sized drops are on the way. I’ll see you out there, heroes.”

This marks VeVe’s first dedicated Ultraman Rising drop, expanding the platform’s long-standing relationship with the Ultraman franchise. While previous drops have celebrated the classic Showa-era heroes and the Netflix anime adaptation, this campaign introduces a fresh generation of characters to the digital space — directly tied to Netflix’s globally released animated feature.

“Ultraman was one of the first heroes I ever connected with growing up,” says David Yu, CEO and Co-Founder of VeVe. “The character left a lasting impression on me as a child, and the fact that Ultraman Day landed on my birthday made it all the more memorable. It’s a moment I get to celebrate every year, so to be able to celebrate Ultraman Day with these new digital collectibles and the Ultraman Rising campaign is incredibly meaningful to me. We’ve come a long way since our very first Ultraman drop, and it’s an honor to keep sharing this legacy with collectors around the world.”
Set in a visually rich Tokyo, Ultraman Rising follows superstar baseball player Ken Sato as he returns home to take up the mantle of Ultraman — only to unexpectedly become the adoptive father to a baby Kaiju. VeVe’s new collectibles reflect this modern spin on the Ultraman mythos, capturing the emotional stakes, action, and stylized character designs of the film.
The animated digital figures included in this release showcase expressive, dynamic poses designed to feel lifted straight from the movie. Whether it’s Ultraman in mid-punch, Emi holding a baseball bat, or Mina taking point in a defensive posture, each piece is a love letter to the new Ultraman generation. Even the Kaiju that are scheduled to drop bring charm, mischief, and variety to collector showrooms.
“Ultraman has been a cultural icon for decades, and seeing these characters reimagined in Ultraman Rising is something special,” explains Dan Crothers, COO and Co-Founder of VeVe. ”We’re always thinking about how to elevate fandom. And now collectors will be able to bring Ultraman, Emi, Mina, and even Kaiju into their world through augmented reality. It’s a powerful new way to experience the franchise.”
For VeVe, this campaign is more than a product launch — it’s a full-on tribute to the Ultraman fandom. In addition to the animated digital collectibles, the Ultraman Day celebration also includes the release of Ultraman Vol. 4, the next installment in the graphic novel series coming from Viz Media. Following the successful digital releases of Volumes 1 through 3 on VeVe, this new volume features five unique variant covers and exceptionally limited editions.
This latest collaboration also positions VeVe at the forefront of licensed Ultraman Collectibles in the digital space. As more fans engage with Ultraman Rising across streaming and social media, these animated collectibles offer an innovative way to express fandom, showcase favorite characters, and build a curated digital portfolio within the VeVe app.
Whether you're a longtime Kaiju enthusiast or new to the world of Ultraman Rising, this celebration provides a fresh entry point to collect, celebrate, and connect with a new era of heroes. The Ultraman Rising digital collectibles will be available exclusively on VeVe starting July 10, in honor of Ultraman Day.
