Vampirella #1

In 2010, Dynamite relaunched the Vampirella franchise in a bold reboot by writer Eric Trautmann and artist Wagner Reis. It reintroduced the character as a gothic noir monster hunter rather than her iconic bikini-clad incarnation of the past. The issue saw Vampirella emerge from her crypt after centuries to track down and destroy Dracula's supernatural legacy of monsters and violence. The series was rated 8 out of 10 by ComicBookBin for its strong action and horror approach to Vampirella's new mission.  

Vampirella #1 was a 40-page premiere issue that set the stage for the 38 issues, over a three-year run of modernized mythology and cosmic horror. The first issue featured many legendary artists delivering stunning covers, but none were as iconic as J. Scott Campbell's beautiful classic interpretation of the Daughter of Drakulon.

Brand: J. Scott Campbell Artworks

J. Scott Campbell is a legend in the comic artist community. He is perhaps best known as the co-creator and visual designer of Gen 13 and Danger Girl. Both series were landmark publications in the 1990s launched through WildStorm and he quickly became well known for his iconic pin up style of artwork.

Campbell would go on to become one of the most sought-after cover artists at Marvel Comics delivering beautiful artwork for The Amazing Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Men, and Black Cat series.

His cover work at Dynamite Entertainment has delivered incredible chase covers for some of their biggest comics, including Army of Darkness, Green Hornet, Red Sonja, and Vampirella. Over the past three decades, Campbell's influence has continued to grow and evolve with projects like his Fairy Tale Fantasies art series.
