And with the recent change, allowing VeVe collects to purchase Gems with the OMI token,, we’re evolving our payment and payout systems to be more future-ready. While change can seem daunting, modern crypto tools have become as intuitive as online banking, simple, secure, and familiar.
For many, this is the most exciting part.
Soon, you’ll be able to self-custody your VeVe collectibles, meaning you can store them in your personal crypto wallet, outside of the VeVe app, just like any other NFT.
Self-custody is optional. VeVe will remain easy to use for those who prefer the current experience, while giving more advanced collectors the freedom they’ve been waiting for.
This feature will roll out in Phase 2 of the Collect migration. The first phase focuses on securely moving all VeVe NFTs to Collect. Once that’s stable, self-custody will be introduced.
In short, nothing changes today. Your collectibles remain safe, but the path to full Web3 ownership is now clear.
The transition to Collect will be seamless. You won’t need to take any action.
