VeVe Waitlist Drops are live on our mobile and web applications, creating a more enjoyable drop system for all VeVe Collectors. Joining a Waitlist is accessible and available to all users, regardless of their verification status; however, VeVe users who have verified (KYC’d) their identity will be given priority in Waitlist Drops! Here are all the details and info you need to join your first Waitlist and continue building your digital collections…

What is a Waitlist Drop?

From the early days of VeVe, we have pioneered several drop systems and models, all of which have introduced a new way to participate in VeVe's digital collectible releases. The “Waitlist” is the latest model to be introduced, which allows all users to add their name to a waitlist to secure a collectible reservation.

If you are lucky enough to secure a reservation, you will have 5 minutes to complete the purchase process. If you do not complete the purchase, your collectible reservation will be returned to the public pool and be available for users to purchase directly from the VeVe Store.

Reservations are randomly allocated; however, priority is given to those users who have completed their ID verification (KYC). Aside from drop priority, completing the verification process also allows you to sell your collectibles in the Market if you wish to and access other features such as Payout.

Like existing VeVe drop models, the rarity and edition numbers are also randomly allocated and will not be known to you until you have completed the purchase and the collectible has been delivered.

Joining a VeVe Waitlist Drop

Joining a VeVe Waitlist Drop is simple and intuitive. First, find an upcoming digital collectible release that you would love to get your hands on! You can find these by following VeVe on socials or joining our Discord Server.

Then, throw your name in the ring on drop day!

For any digital collectible release, including individual sale and blind-box releases, here’s how the Waitlist will work:

1. Open 12 hours before the advertised drop time and close 5 minutes before. For example, if a drop is scheduled for 8 am Pacific time, the Waitlist will open at 8 pm Pacific time the day before and close at 7:55 am.

2. When the Waitlist opens, simply navigate to the collectible detail page and select ‘Join Waitlist’ to enter. As a reminder, all users can join the Waitlist regardless of their verification status; however, verified users will be given priority.

3. You can enter, leave and/or re-enter a Waitlist until it closes (5 minutes before the scheduled drop time). When you have successfully joined the Waitlist, you will receive an in-app notification and can view the status of your Waitlist entry on the collectible page.

4. To withdraw your Waitlist entry, simply select ‘Leave Waitlist.’ Once the Waitlist is closed, you cannot withdraw your entry.

5. At the scheduled drop time, reservations will be randomly allocated to users that have entered the Waitlist. If you are lucky enough to receive a reservation, you will receive an in-app notification, and the ‘buy now’ button will be available on the collectible details page.

6. You must then complete the purchase process (pay for the collectible) before it is delivered and the rarity/edition number is known to you. You will have 5 minutes to complete this process, and a countdown purchase timer will display on the collectible detail page.

Should you fail to complete the process, your reservation will be forfeited, and the collectible will be returned to the publicly available allocation. These can be purchased by yourself or other users in the VeVe Store 7 minutes after the scheduled drop time. 

Similarly, should you wish to acquire more than one edition, you can purchase additional collectibles from the Store 7 minutes after the drop if editions are available.

If more collectibles are available than entries on the Waitlist, those users who entered the waitlist will be given the first opportunity to purchase the item. The remaining editions will be available for purchase in the VeVe Store 7 minutes after the scheduled drop time.

What if I Haven’t Completed ID Verification?

ID verification, also known as KYC, unlocks additional features and benefits within the platform. 

You can participate in VeVe Waitlist Drops and purchase collectibles from the Store or from other users in the Market without completing your verification. However, in order to sell your collectibles in the VeVe Market and access the Payout feature, you must complete verification/KYC.

Can anyone join a Waitlist Drop?
‍Yes, as long as you're in the Waitlist before the window closes. Verified/KYC'd collectors will be given priority.

I got a reservation - now what?
‍If you receive a Waitlist reservation, you will receive an in-app notification, and the ‘buy now’ button will be available on the collectible details page. You will have 5 minutes to complete the purchase process.

I’m not KYC verified - can I join a waitlist drop?
‍Yes, but verified/KYC'd collectors will be given priority in Waitlist Drops.

What happens if I win a reservation but don’t make payment?
‍Should you fail to complete the purchase process, your reservation will be forfeited and the collectible will be returned to the publicly available allocation. These can be purchased in the VeVe Store 7 minutes after the scheduled drop time.

Do I Need Gems to join the waitlist?
‍There's no need to pre-load Gems. You can purchase Gems at the time of collectible purchase.
